Excellent Paint Sprayer
I recently purchased a factory reconditioned Graco 2900 and could not be more impressed with its operation. The sprayer itself was very easy to use and I was amazed with how fast I was able to paint my garage door! Painting were giving me $150 estimates to paint the door so my sprayer paid for itself after its first use. It actually made painting fun. I told my wife after using it for my most recent project that I can't wait to use it again on all of our baseboards and door casings around the house. I highly recommend this sprayer!

Pleasantly Surprised
I could not recommend this product any higher! I actually own the model one step up from this one and I picked it up at Lowes because I needed in the same day but this one is almost identical. I decided to purchase a full kit like this with a turbine motor after a series of high cost, high frustration ventures into the world of air compressor/HVLP compressor style guns. The trick of matching up one of those guns with a compressor that can handle it while keeping on a budget is, in short, a nightmare. So, I made the leap into this combo expecting a working solution that would not give me as many options as the more intricate compressor set ups. I was wrong in nearly every way. As far as I can see for someone looking for a spray gun solution for anything less than auto paint or an entire house this is the only way to go. The turbine system on this gun is slightly less noisy than the chugging away of an air compressor although it is constant rather than intermittent. But the...
Great sprayer for a great price
I have to say this thing really gets the job done and it takes so little effort and time that I actually don't shy away from painting anymore. I love to make primitive looking furniture which normally means 2 sometimes 3 different color coats of paint. It can get messy and time consuming with brushes. With the paint sprayer when I'm done with the first coat of paint I just pour my remainder paint back in the can (a cost saving feature I really like) do a quick spray rinse and pour in my next color for prep (which I am always done before the first coat dries anyways). Projects that normally take pretty much half the day now take less than two hours. The paint sprays very evenly and quickly too. The overspray is a little much so you do need to be sure to cover well and the air hose does occasionally pop out but these are simple quick things to fix and nothing to get in a huff about(note that when the hose pops off it doesnt spray paint on you its just for air only). You will also...

piece of junk is too much credit
To say this gun is a piece of junk is giving it too much credit. The spray nozzle is frozen or does not come off the gun which makes the extra nozzle kit useless. To be precise this gun is a cheap imitation of a piece of junk. Save your money because its not worth the postage to return which is what they depend on to sell crap like this.

HVLP air sprayer
The price is right. stay with the breakdown instructions, as you clean up, to keep the order of reassembly.

Be sure to have the drain plugged in the wash basin, to keep the small parts.

Only would have liked more thorough guidance on how to adjust for solid stain spraying and polyurethane spraying.

Once I found the sweet spot and had it tuned right , I sprayed an entire 14' X 12' deck with rails in 35 minutes.

Need to buy a water filter - approx $5. Four to four and one half stars!
This is a winner !!!!!!!!!
I got this little set a few day's ago and just now put it to use.And man oohhh man this thing work's as good as one you pay through the nose for, this set is well worth every penny you will pay for it.It put down a finish like you would get form a high dollar one would, if you ask me go ahead and get you one you want regert it. 2 in 1 hvlp air sprayer & primer gun with reg. 1.4mm & 2.0mm nozzle's.

Campbell Hausfeld 2-stage High Volume, Low Pressure (HVLP) Turbine Paint Sprayer is ideal for refinishing equipment, staining furniture and painting small- to medium-sized interiors or exteriors. No compressor needed to get a fine finish with low overspray, making it ideal for painting trim, interior walls, furniture, crafts and cabinets. U.S.A. Paint Capacity (gal.): 1 quart, Volts: 120, Hose Length (ft.): 15, Max. It features a two-stage tangential bypass turbine/motor for precision painting performance. The spray gun comes with a 3-year limited warranty.

This sprayer does a pretty rough job
I purchased the CH HVLP sprayer as an alternative to a compressor plus gun setup for spraying clear finishes as well as interior trim paint. The previous CH products that I had purchased had been great. This one has been a great disappointment.

First, the transfer of material to the surface being painted appears to be about as inefficient as a normal high pressure sprayer. This is especially true when spraying higher viscosity coatings that require more airflow in order to move them. The second issue is the fineness of the spray pattern. This unit produces a pretty rough and uneven pattern compared with other units. The air supply hose is a real handicap as it is not only too stiff for easy use, but it has a really nasty chemical smell that just doesn't go away.

Summary, I have a CH compressor, an airless sprayer and this HVLP. I can reccommend the first two without hesitation. This last is just not worth it. Get a Fuji, Apollo or perhaps the top of the line Wagner...

This thing is great!
I am so impressed with this product and I too am surprised by the not so great reviews. I have a feeling that the people who don't like this product are people who have significant experience with other paint sprayers . . . People who like to thin the paint, tweak knobs, make adjustments, etc., etc., etc. This is a ($) paint sprayer. . . it doesn't have a lot of knobs and whistles and probably isn't very forgiving in some respects (compared to ($) paint sprayers).

This was my first time ever using a paint sprayer. I read through the manual, (especially the part where it specifically says to not mess with anything), poured in the paint . . . and I was off spraying (I didn't need to thin the paint!). There is only one knob to adjust the volume of paint that is coming out . . that's all that I needed. It worked great and the finish is smooth and even (I painted my veneer kitchen cabinets using a BIN primer and an Alkyd based semi-gloss).

This is the perfect paint sprayer for...
Don't buy this product
I own this sprayer and it is not woth the money. You cannot get a fine spray pattern from this unit. The air cap is poorly machined and the turbine does not supply enough CFM. Spend more money and get an Accuspray system.

Two-Stage Turbine for Painting and Staining Projects
With the Control Spray Max, you can spray a variety of different paints, primers, lacquers, and stains. Use it to prime and paint cabinets, door trim, and decks, or to stain furniture, woodworking projects, and more.

The sprayer's powerful two-stage turbine easily handles thick material like interior latex paint, while variable air pressure control (1.50 to 2.63 psi) reduces overspray of thin materials like lacquers and stains. Variable flow control allows you to transition from working with a large spray surface to more detail-oriented projects, like painting trim or windowpanes.

Adjustable Spray Patterns Accommodate Different Materials
Lightweight yet powerful, this handy tool sets up in just minutes. It features a viscosity cup that lets you measure the density of the material you're using and adjust the spray pattern as needed. The spray nozzle requires only a simple turning of the ears on the air cap to allow for a round, horizontal, or vertical pattern, depending on your application.

Achieves Smooth, Even Finish
Two large air filters prevent dust from marring the finish, so the result is smooth and even. And with the 20-foot air hose, it's easy to keep the spray gun positioned squarely towards your surface.

The Control Spray Max includes a contractor-grade, 1-quart metal cup, as well as a 1-1/2 quart plastic cup for larger volume jobs like painting or staining decks and fences.

Wagner Max HLVP Sprayer
I had purchased another Wagner sprayer to use refinishing my kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, I bought the wrong model. After doing some cabinet doors and not being satisfied, I called Wagner technical support.

I described what I was attempting to do and the lady told me that I needed the Max HLVP unit.

I used it yesterday for the two base coats and then this morning for the top coat of polyurethane. I couldn't be happier with the results!

The unit is light and has plenty of power.
I was spraying heavy interior latex and then satin polyurethane.
It takes some playing to understand the best settings on power and flow. But, once you get those dialed in and are consistent in your spray angles and distance, the unit will give you professional results.

It is very easy to clean and comes with two cups for small and larger jobs.

I plan to use this to finish the balance of the kitchen cabinets and then on multiple other...

Perfect for certain types of jobs
SUMMARY:
Great product for the money, but only for certain jobs! I would recommend it for any outside work, but would not recommend it for painting interior walls, as the effort required to minimize overspray and obtain the perfect dilution/spray velocity outweighs any gains in speed or ease of use.

DETAILS -- FIRST ATTEMPT::WALLS
This Wagner has the most hits of any sprayer on the internet, and you can find many video blogs reviewing the product. However, what is lacking of sprayers in general are first-hand accounts of actual end users (especially first-time users). This Wagner is my first paint sprayer. Last year I repainted the entire inside of my house; walls, trim, doors, shelves and all in preparation to move out and get a new house. All of that work was done with traditional rollers and brushes. When we purchased our new house I was desparate to find some way to speed up the process. I researched many sprayers and read many reviews. I found many...
Quick Review
This is just a quick review documenting my first (short) experience with this sprayer.

I just bought and tried this sprayer and so you understand, I know very little about these. The reason I bought this particular sprayer was cost and I figured that the outboard turbine would be more powerful that the ones with the turbine built on the handle.

I have previously owned an airless sprayer and it was useless except for jobs where quality wasn't important. The previous sprayer would constantly spit and I had no control over the spray pattern. I wasted a lot of paint painting a fence with it. Moving on...

I am getting ready to paint some rooms in my house and figured that I would try this sprayer to get an idea of how to use it before I got serious with it. I was using latex paint straight out of the can with no thinning... I was curious about how that would work. There are only three adjustments on this gun... air flow, paint feed, and spray...

Nice Spray Gun - Good Price
I paint houses, vehicles, motorcycles and equipment. One of my Airless sprayers cost over $5000. The automotive sprayers (Devilbiss) are about $500 each. I've always wanted to get an HVLP spray gun. But, with so many available and with such a wide price span, I decided to start with something inexpensive and see how they function.
When I took this Tool Force sprayer out of its box I could see and feel it was much, much nicer that the price I paid for it. There isn't anything cheap looking about the sprayer. The head, needle and the body emulates the quality of my guns ten times the price.
I've paid more for just a needle kit for other sprayers.
I started off spraying Latex paint. I knew I had to thin it, and it wouldn't deliver the volume equal to the Airless. But, after tinkering with the air/volume/fan adjustments it's performance actually amazed me. It is fantastic on small projects. It easily opens up on big areas and tones down on intricate areas. Loose the Air...

Worked great for what I used it for.
I used this HVLP for spraying on Second Skin Audio's Spectrum Spray sound deadener and it worked GREAT! The provided 2.0mm nozzle worked awesome for spraying the very thick product at a reasonable 40-50 PSI. The adjustable fan spray was very accurate and allowed me to get into the very tight areas with ease. And VERY low excess "particulates" in the air while spraying which is very nice.

The provided pressure regulator is a nice addition, but wish it were of higher quality, then again I wouldn't expect much more from a $20-$30 HVLP gun.

The only real complaint is the trigger, when using the gun for a period longer then 15 minutes your hand and fingers get fatigued, but applying some PlastiDip or other similar product helps.

All in all a very reasonably price HVLP gun that does a decent job.
Terrific gun for spraying urethane
I picked up this gun to spray oil based urethane on my front doors. It was impossible to get a smooth and even finish with a brush with Varathane's satin urethane - I tried twice. So, although I have never used a spray gun, I deciced to give this one a try and see if I could get a satisfactory finish. I was not disappointed with the end result. The finish is far better than can be achieved with a brush. Just be prepaired for a little learning curve when learning to spray.

Internet searches will give you tips how to hold and move the gun, what tip sizes are needed for your type of work, pressure settings etc. Then practice on a piece of scrap. Even after doing all of this homework, I still managed to get a run on the first side of the first door. A little more experimenting revealed that I had the pressure too low (30 psi). I turned it up to 40 and presto! Easy spraying and a smooth finish. The information avaliable will tell you to use the lowest pressure...
