Nice, Compact, Works
We purchased the JNC300XL about a year ago to power a camera system we were developing for a truck. We needed 12Vdc vehicle power while in the lab and in the field for testing off the vehicle. It charges quickly, holds a charge for months and is light and compact. Last summer my wife called to say she was first in a left turn lane on a busy expressway and her car stalled and would not start. I grabbed to JNC300XL where it had set for months without a charge and off I went. I connected it to her battery and it provided plenty of power to turn over her fair sized V6 engine and start the car. The nice thing is it was a quick hook up. I wasn't in the middle of a busy road trying to get my car close enough to her car to string a couple of jumper cables. It is great for powering gadgets that normally plug into a cigarette lighter for power. You unplug the "flashlight" on the front of the unit to access the cigarette lighter plug. Jum N Carry Jump starter
I already had a JNC 660 for my truck and wanted to put smaller units in each of our cars. I bought 3 of these, then 2 more for Christmas gifts. They are easy to use and much more dependable than the cheap imports with lots of whistles and bells.... I prefer the larger unit for my dodge 1500 with a V-8 (I've jumped it 5 or 6 times between charges without a problem... electrical trouble...) This smaller unit is great for our Toyota 4 cylinder cars and Chrysler Concorde with a 3.5 6 cylinder. These beat the heck out of jumper cables, and my daughter and wife don't have to ask strangers for help... or wait for AAA.
Used 5 times before I found my problem...
GREAT PRODUCT! for the price.
I spent 2-3 hours on-line looking for what I needed. A Battery Jumper: 1) not too much money, 2)would help me start my car immediately...This accomplished both needs. This is the cheapest, most reliant item. Ignore the Black&Decker item. I read too many bad reviews.
I used this one 5 times (within 2 months) before I took my car into the shop to correct the REAL problem ---My real problem: I bought a cheap replacement battery.

Needs better instructions
I have used this compressor for a few days now with a coil framing nailer and it works fine, has plenty of capacity for one gun, and is relatively quiet.

I would give it 5 stars except that packaging is poor and instructions for initial set-up are also poor. The compressor ships in its original retail box, not double boxed, and mine was torn open and then re-taped. The box says an oil bottle is included and there is space for it in the box, but in fact Senco is shipping with oil in the compressor and no oil bottle (I found this confusing as it looks like the oil bottle was stolen or missing). The air filter comes unattached and you have to figure out where to attach it on your own (a little sketch would be helpful for the spatially challenged). The air inlet has a plastic plug inserted so don't start your compressor before finding and removing the plug and attaching the air filter.

Great general use compressor
The PC1131 has a 4.3 gallon double hotdog tank system. It has easy to read primary and secondary gauges and a switch that can be reached quickly but does not interfere with operation when moving the hose around. The compressor has a well positioned oil fill port, for spalsh lubrication. It's relatively quiet (though there is no such thing as a quiet compressor. I have used the Senco with brad, stapler and finishing nail guns as well as a framing nailer to drive both 2" and 3-1/2" framing nails. The recycle of the tank pressure (which I set @ 110psi) easily operates any of these tools without a need to wait for the pressure to build. The only issue would be using the compressor form spray guns, where a constant (uniterrupted airflow is a critical requirement of airguns). Other than that, I would strong recommend this Senco for everyday, portable use, especially for the DIY homeowner.
Great value
Everything about it seems to be good/ excellent value.

Pros: It's got lots of power to keep up, no compressor is quit, but this one is surprisingly not that noisy, the weight is quite reasonable to considering it's power. Oil-lubricated is quieter and lasts way longer than oil-less. Runs any air tool you will need, even roofing and framing nailers with no problem.

Cons: The rubber handle has ridges in it that hurt your hand if you carry it farther than a few steps without gloves. The copper air pipe is on the outside of the compressor, where it seems like there is more risk of damage (see picture on the left side of the plastic covering. The drains can sometimes hit your legs while carrying it, which is not pleasant. The pressure readings are a little difficult to see. There is only one air outlet instead of two.

A Great Little Powerhouse
This is a great, comparatively light, little compressor that drives my stapler; brad driver, 15 and 16-gauge finish nailers with ease. I have high expectations for any Senco product, so I did notice one minor design flaw if you plan to use a filter at the compressor connection.

The compressor's female quick release is facing more toward the roll bar frame instead of being angled away from it. There isn't enough physical space to clear a large in-line air filter, so instead of changing out the factory release, I simply used a swivel fitting on the air line (see my photo) to angle the filter and hose away from the frame. No big thing.

The stacked tank design doesn't seem to be as loud as pancake compressors, but is about what you would expect of a 1-1/2HP compressor. I still intend to fashion a noise shroud for indoor and woodshop use.

I should also mention that it took two tries to get a compressor delivered that wasn't damaged in transit. Damaged...

This is a great little compresseor. I have a small contracting buisness and this compressor is light enough to carry through a house. It is quiet enough not to force everyone out of a room. It also is capable enough to handle finish work through light framing that you do in remodling work.
worth the extra money
the Senco costs more than comparable capacity compressors but the quality of materials, workmanship, quietness, and reasonable weight (37#) made me happy to have paid the premium. I was doing a remodel job that required using a framing nailer....got 10 to 12 nails before the unit quickly and quietly recovered.

My Senco experiance
I've been interested in that little bitty senco compressor for a while but when I was ready to buy I decided it was too small and chose this one instead. After shooting only maybe 30 brads with it I prepared to use it the third time and as I started firing staples the compressor kicked on and after a change in tone it would not build any pressure. Completely ruined the day, and to make things worse the location Senco told me to bring it for service did not exist, a building wasn't even at the location they had been out of business so long. After a frustrated phone call I drove another 45 minutes to the next closest service location and when dropping it off was told it could be a week or months to repair because ever since Senco filed Chapter 11 replacement parts where much harder to get....not what I wanted to hear. The only reason I gave it two starts is that I guess not many people will experience this same situation; except for a manufacturing defect it is a nice light unit for...

General Contractor Opinion
I am on my second Senco PC1130. The first arrived with a smashed oil reservoir cover and oil all over everything. I'm still working on the return of that one. The second arrived fine. I live at high altitude and when I ran the compressor it would not shut off at full pressure. I got it to work by adjusting the pressure switch limits. However, my first job with it at a higher altitude had me making further adjustments to get it to shut off automatically. I've never had this problem with any of my other compressors and I can't see why this one should be sensitive to altitude? The compressor is about 20 pounds lighter than my "portable" Emglo and I am grateful for that. I've only used it with a trim gun and it seemed more than up to the task. This is medium loud and quieter that oil-less compressors that I have used. I have no regrets so far. This one was the second choice in a Tools of the Trade review (the first choice was about $500!). It is made in China.

Solid Little Compressor
I bought one of these about a year and a half ago from CPO Outlets through Amazon. At the time there were a ton of good reviews of it here on Amazon, but they seem to have mostly disappeared for some reason?

Over the last year it has been a great little compressor for me. The only "issue" I had was that they shipped the thing full of compressor oil and the dipstick / fill plug is a friction fit with an o-ring which had popped part way out during transit. Everything inside the package was covered with compressor oil, but when I pushed the dipstick back in, the oil still came up to the "full" line, which I thought was a little weird. After I wiped the machine off and started it up, everything worked great.

It is a really well put together, compact, beefy little machine that pumps up quickly and is not so loud as to be overly annoying, ... seems much more tolerable than the oil-less compressor we use at work. I've mostly used it to fill tires, blow dust and...

Have compressor will travel
This is a great second compressor. I wouldn't buy this as a primary or first compressor but it works fine to support small nail guns. My other portable weighs 68 pounds and will keep up with 1 to 2 framing or roofing nailers. My shoulders ache from the number of times I have lugged it up 78 steps to a job site. This goes anywhere with a bunch of tools in the other hand.

Other than nail guns, NO it won't do much at 0.7 cu ft per min when paint spray guns need 10 times that, and a blow gun will empty the tank in 10 seconds or less. But seriously, this compressor gives me at least 10 shots from my 16 ga finish nailer before the motor kicks in; a couple more off of an 18 ga finish nailer, and as an acid test, I got 3 shots from a 3 1/4 inch framing nailer (not recommended but if all I need is 10 nails I'd rather carry this in - especially considering that my ripe old age keeps me from doing much serious hammering!)

Easy on the arm!
As a general contractor I have several compressors. At least 90% of the time I grab an Emglo because they do everything I need except texturing. But I've grown fond of this little Senco WHEN IT IS USED PROPERLY! That means if I have a small trim project or a VERY small framing project it does the job, and both takes up less room and is a lot easier to pack around. It'll drive 3" framing nails no problem...when the tank is topped off, but the last couple nails before the compressor cycles always need to be hammer finished. Same is true for 15 or 18 gauge finish nails. When the tank is just about to cycle the nails don't completely set. My workers love the Senco...much to my chagrin. For one, it's light, and second...it takes FOREVER to refill (relatively speaking) and my guys love to stand there with their thumbs you know where taking a break every 10 to 15 nails or so! So if used for small jobs...or trim where you nail one piece at a time while cutting, well then it's a champ...

For my applications of easy carry in and out, it's been terrific for lightweight 18ga. finishing.

On a small renovation project yesterday, 4 doors jambs and trim were easy (1" to 2" 18/16ga brads) The very least of my problems was waiting for the little Senco to catch up. Been using it for about 5 months, shot about 10,000 brads. So far it's been flawless.
