Patented Low Maintenance Pump

This 155 psi Industrial Air pump delivers 5.0 cfm at 90 psi to run multiple nail guns at one time. This pump has a patented two part cooling system that lowers operating temperatures and increases cooling efficiencies, which extends the life of the pump. Machined out of thermally stable aluminum this oil free pump is designed to run cooler at high rpm.

This was just what I needed. Light and dependable and does not take up much room.I lock it and it never leaves my pickup. Can pull a gooseneck trailer without even moving it. GREAT

Great compressor for the price
I bought this compressor to use for my business. It runs an average of 30 hours a week and I have had nothing but success with it. The main selling feature for this in my opinion is the oilless compressor. The quality of the Honda 5 hp engine was a bonus.

Great Compressor
When I started looking for a portable compressor that would stand up to the daily use in construction and provide ample air for framing nailers and a texture gun I considered Emglo, RolAir and IR. I have owned an IR and Emglo and both worked well. Once I plugged the IR in I was amazed at how quiet it is. The speed of the compressor is about 580 RPM. It is the same pump used in other IR compressors that use a bigger motor and a bigger motor pulley to produce more CFM.

production flaw
I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this product. I have many IR brand tools and accessories and have always been very happy with the quality and durability of this product. I was dismayed however, upon receipt of this product, that when I went to discharge the tank after running it that the drain valves appeared faulty. Upon further inspection i discovered that the pit-cocks were painted over which made them 'locked' and immobile without using a pair of channel lock pliers to open. When I finally opened the tank, one chamber was closed and never drained at the factory, which then discharged blackened liquid buildup all over my shop floor. This occurs typically when the compressor is used over time and not properly discharged after use. This is an IR recommended procedure after each use of the compressor. I now need to replace the pit-cocks and clean the threading, or take it to a shop or IR dealer to have it fixed. I should not have to have dealer maintenance...

IR - poor customer service?
I'm strongly considering buying this item, sadly not from amazon because their price is MUCH higher than places such as tsc. Anyway, one of the big reason for my decision to buy this unit is the company IR, IR is basically air compressors, but now I'm much more doubtful based on a customer review for tyhis item that's apparently listed as another product. Here is that gentleman's story in full -not a very good job IR!

Reconditioned unit
Bought this to save money; It was delivered with a broken box, but was in good condition. The moter started with two puls and runs fine. The compressor appears new. It puts out the air and should last a long time. I recommend this product.

Best Buy
This is just the right air compressor for me, it is portable and I am able to use it wherever i have a need and that may be in the back pasture or in the barn or at the neighbors. It is very quite and doesn't give you a headache like those electrical motor noise makers. And best of all, the price is a lot lower than those yellow ones !
