Awesome kit paid for itself after one use
I was motivated to buy this adapter after noticing that the last two years, the sprinkler guy that charges me $60 to blow out my sprinklers always seemed to find a broken sprinkler head when blowing out the system even though I never noticed any of them broken all year.

He would unscrew them and take them with him pretty much trying to force me to call him in the spring to turn the system back on (which I never do as it's just a matter of turning the water back on) and then charging me to replace the sprinkler heads that he took with him.

I recently bought the Porter-Cable PC3PAK Finish Nailer/Brad Nailer/Stapler Compressor Combo Kit and decided that since I now have an air compressor, I may as well try to blow out the sprinkler system myself.

Cheap Winterize Sprinkler Systems and Outdoor Faucets Blow Out Adaptor: Air Compressor to Female Garden Hose Faucet with Shut Off Valve On Sale

Do you want to winterize your underground sprinkler system, and outdoor faucets? This hard-to-find air-compressor adapter allows you to easily connect an air compressor to blowout underground sprinkler system or any outdoor faucet or spigot. Made winterizing my sprinkler system a snap.
If your sprinkler plumbing feed has an inline garden hose faucet this makes winterizing easy.

Step 1 - Shut off the water supply to your sprinkler system. Make sure this is done first to avoid the risk of backflowing sprinkler system water into your drinking water pipes. Most systems have a backflow preventer valve but why take a chance?
Step 2 - Open the garden hose faucet that is inline with your sprinkler plumbing. Some water may trickle out but it shouldn't flow as you've already shut off the water supply to the sprinkler plumbing in step 1.
Step 3 - Screw the adapter onto the garden hose faucet.
Step 4 - Set your air compressor pressure regulator to 40 psi and connect your air hose to the adapter.
Step 5 - Run your sprinkler system in manual mode one zone at a time. In minutes the water will be blown clear of your underground sprinkler tubing.

Nice product
I was very happy with the blow out adaptor. It arrived fast. It seems to be constructed very well with quality material. I would recommend spending the few extra bucks for the shut off valve. It is an easy way to stop the air flow and let your tank refill if you are blowing out sprinklers. It would be nice if the hose connector swiveled but that might not be possible. Overall seems like a good product.
