Ok but a little pricey
I was expecting something a little nicer since it was made in the USA. There is more plastic on it than I care for and the mounting hardware sucks. It comes with a ninety degree bracket and a 1/2 in conduit nut. One is supposed to screw a hose or whatever into it after first threading on the nut and placing the regulator on the bracket, then tighten the nut. I mean come on, for $100 plus put some damn threaded bosses in the thing or come up with a better bracket. The supplied gauge works well and it comes with a 1/4 plug for the back side. The 125psi limit really is the limit on this thing and that's if you take the locking nut off the T handle first. I'm only able to get about 120psi out of mine with the nut in place. The bowl on the bottom feel like a made in China casting. This is the end of my rant and if hind sight was 20/20 I would not have bought this thing.

Not a woodworker's tool....
I bought the Stanley SB2IN1 in early January because it could shoot both brads down to 5/8" and staple, giving me more versatility in my shop. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I would have spent the extra money up front for a good stapler and a good brad nailer. The cylinder wouldn't seal when you hooked it up to an air hose, and I would have to continually hook it up/disconnect it until it would finally seal. The other problem, and it might be related, is that even when I put the compressor at the max pressure (100psi) it wouldn't countersink staples even in 1/2" plywood. The last problem is that if you could get it to countersink a brad, the footprint is the size of a staple. Leaving an ugly mark on your project. I returned the tool and am ordering a separate stapler and brad nailer.

Not a woodworkers tool is right !!!
I strongly agree with reviewer,Jonathan Ness about this product. I purchased the Stanley SB2IN1 because it could shoot both brads and staples, giving me the versatility and saving me the cost of two tools. When I put the compressor at max pressure (100PSI) it wouldn't countersink nails or staples even in pine. If you could get it to countersink a brad, the footprint is the size of a staple. Leaving an ugly mark on your project that require additional finishing. I contacted Stanley Bostitch and they told me that they knew of this problem and to get it to countresink, increase the pressure to 120 PSI (however I think the seals will wear out much faster).This is fine for staples but still leaves the ugly mark when using brads.They also told me that this is the problem with a combination tool. If I could return this tool I would...I will use this tool for stapling only and purchase a Porter Cable Brad Nailer, also the brads are much easier to find for the Porter Cable than the Stanley...
Didn't work well as a stapler.
I bought this 2-in-1 for convenience (it's a 2-in1!) and because of a very good past history with other Stanley-Bostitch tools. I was sorely disappointed. I tried to use this to staple 1/4" underlayment, but encountered numerous jams, misfeeds and situations where one of the two legs of the stapler would not sink. All-in-all, of the 200 staples I tried to sink, I had 30+ 'mis-fires'; or ~16%. I tried varrying the pressure between 80-110 psig (even though the tool is clearly marked do not exceed 100 psig) but the problem never got better. Every 5th or 6th staple would be a problem. Clearly, this is not good. I was left with no other option but to return it (and used my neighbor's Porter Cable to finish the job). I've never had a problem with my brad-only tool Bostitch, so either I got a bad one or this is a bad design. I can't recommend this item.

Smart, Easy, Simple Design
As a woodworker, I have been using the Critter Spray Gun for a few months now. It does a great job on small to medium sized projects- smooth finish, very easy cleanup.

As with most every spray gun, even professional guns, the media being sprayed will usually need to be thinned to some degree; this gun is not any different. I have not used it for spraying latex paint, but I would expect it to do a fine job after diluting the paint with water.

Two things are very important to me as a craftsman: after working for weeks on a project, I need to apply a smooth even finish. With a little practice, the Criiter will provide this. The second desired feature, is to have an easy cleanup, so that I don't hesitate because of fear (laziness)to use the tool. Again, this sprayer is the easiest cleanup of any sprayer that I have used. The ability to store, and have ready, my finishes is a big bonus.

Excellent gun with one flaw...
The Critter gun is a superb choice for most small to medium jobs that would ordinarily require a spray can or brush. This gun works great for spraying finishes on woodwork, patio furniture, etc. Easy to use and clean up. I highly recommend it.

That said, now for my gripes. There is one design flaw that is particularly annoying. In their infinite wisdom, the folks at Critter decided to paint the frame of the gun. Rule number 1: paint does not adhere to base metal alloys. The awful bluish paint on the zinc-alloy gun flakes off and gets everywhere. Its adhesion is so poor you can literally scratch it off with your fingernail. It contaminates your paint no matter how careful you are. My white enamel became a nice off-blue pastel color thanks to this. When you wipe down the gun with any petroleum-based solvent, the paint will smear. My advice: before using, soak the gun in a water-based paint stripper to remove the paint. Paint guns should not be painted. I shouldn't have...
One of the best tools to have in a shop
I have used this for all finishes from oil based interior and exterior primers, and interior and exterior latex. Thinning is required but the finish is superb. The cost, quick color changes, and ease of cleanup are great. It is a hassle working with the small jars but I mix enough for 2-3 jars. Then I'm good for 30 min of spraying. The other review about clogging was all wrong. The problem was in the paint not the Critter. When it clogs it means the paint needs thinning or straining. Old unstrained paint clogs any sprayer!

Excellent Paint Sprayer
I recently purchased a factory reconditioned Graco 2900 and could not be more impressed with its operation. The sprayer itself was very easy to use and I was amazed with how fast I was able to paint my garage door! Painting were giving me $150 estimates to paint the door so my sprayer paid for itself after its first use. It actually made painting fun. I told my wife after using it for my most recent project that I can't wait to use it again on all of our baseboards and door casings around the house. I highly recommend this sprayer!

Pleasantly Surprised
I could not recommend this product any higher! I actually own the model one step up from this one and I picked it up at Lowes because I needed in the same day but this one is almost identical. I decided to purchase a full kit like this with a turbine motor after a series of high cost, high frustration ventures into the world of air compressor/HVLP compressor style guns. The trick of matching up one of those guns with a compressor that can handle it while keeping on a budget is, in short, a nightmare. So, I made the leap into this combo expecting a working solution that would not give me as many options as the more intricate compressor set ups. I was wrong in nearly every way. As far as I can see for someone looking for a spray gun solution for anything less than auto paint or an entire house this is the only way to go. Great sprayer for a great price
I have to say this thing really gets the job done and it takes so little effort and time that I actually don't shy away from painting anymore. I love to make primitive looking furniture which normally means 2 sometimes 3 different color coats of paint. It can get messy and time consuming with brushes. With the paint sprayer when I'm done with the first coat of paint I just pour my remainder paint back in the can (a cost saving feature I really like) do a quick spray rinse and pour in my next color for prep (which I am always done before the first coat dries anyways). Projects that normally take pretty much half the day now take less than two hours. The paint sprays very evenly and quickly too. The overspray is a little much so you do need to be sure to cover well and the air hose does occasionally pop out but these are simple quick things to fix and nothing to get in a huff about(note that when the hose pops off it doesnt spray paint on you its just for air only). Great product
I purchased this nailer because my previous one (porter cable) broke. What a difference! It doesn't jam. It is easy to adjust depth of staples, feels good and solid. DeWalt usually makes good quality stuff and this one is no different. I used it to do moldings inside my home. So far no complaints.

Dewalt Brad Nailer
I used this nailer about 10 times already. It is a good product. The reason I gave this nailer only 4 stars is the nailer sometimes get stuck so to make it work again I have to pull out the tip. My next one will be a Porter Cable. My father in law has one and it works much better then my Dewalt.
Dissapointed
I'm sure this nailer is as good as reviewed above. What disappoints me about this is that DeWalt does not include a valve stem on the nailer. I thought I was going to unbox this and be firing away. But instead, I had to make a trip to the Home Depot for a $1.89 part. They couldn't include one with the nailer? Come on, DeWalt, $1.89. Put valve stems in the package.
